Appeal to Polish Americans

The US Government continues to send mixed signals regarding their attitude towards Poland and other NATO East Flank countries.  While continuing their strong rhetorics about opposing the Nord Stream 2 pipeline construction on the bottom of the Baltic Sea, they fail to continue with sanctions on the German-Russian consortium Nord Stream AG, the principal constructors of the pipeline, owned in majority by the Russian GasProm.  Under these circumstances the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline is expected to be completed very shortly.

That will bring grave consequences for Poland and other countries in the region: deepening their dependence on Russian fuel/energy supplies, exposing them further to possible politically motivated threats by Russia of shutting off these supplies, and eliminating their income from pipeline transfer fees on the portion of these fuels destined for the Western Europe.

It is now very important to make a good effort to reverse these decisions by the Biden Administration, which harm Poland.

As soon as possible:

(1) Please call the White House at 202-456-1111, and after identifying yourself, state:

I am an American of Polish descent who asks President Biden to re-consider his decision to waive sanctions on German companies which are helping Russia to complete  construction of the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline which will prevent the nations, most of which are our NATO allies comprising the Three Seas Initiative, from achieving energy security. Thank you.

(2) Also call your two United States Senators and Congressman/woman with a similar message after identifying yourself:

I am an American of Polish descent who has asked President Biden to re-consider his decision to waive sanctions on German companies which are helping Russia to complete its construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline which will prevent the nations, most of which are our NATO allies comprising the Three Seas Initiative, from achieving energy security. Thank you.

(Unless you have it already in your notes, the easiest way to find out how to contact your Senator is through this official Web site:

For your US Congress Representative, you need your zip+4 mailing address, and use it on this Web site:
