Common knowledge has it that elected representatives listen far more carefully (if not only) to their own constituents, so after contacting all the Seantors from the list above, once you are familiar with the process, don’t forget to write the Senators from your State.\u00a0 Go to https:\/\/www.senate.gov\/senators\/contact<\/a> to find your Senators’ contact addresses.<\/p>\n

To spare yourself long typing, we suggest that you first go to the tab (usually preceding) which contains the essence of our request, select the entire text and copy (Ctrl-C in Windows, or right-click in the selected area and choose \u201cCopy\u201d).<\/p>\n

Clicking on a Senator\u2019s name above will bring you to the respective Senator\u2019s Contact page, but these are diversified.\u00a0 Usually you have to choose the Topic (sometimes called Area of interest, or similarly) from a drop-down menu, choose something like \u201cForeign Affairs\u201d or \u201cForeign Relations\u201d.\u00a0 You have to introduce yourself: enter your name, address, zip, etc. but you do not necessarily need to fill out everything, just the fields which are marked as mandatory, usually with an asterisk (star) or a dot.\u00a0 If you have a chance to enter a Subject line, write \u201cS.R. 556 Katyn Resolution\u201d (or similar).\u00a0 Proceed to the large empty rectangle, usually labeled \u201cComments\u201d or \u201cEnter your text\u201d; click in it and paste our text (Ctrl-V in Windows).\u00a0 Usually these messages are limited in size, usually to 1500 characters, so the full version of your Protest would not fit, and you need to limit the message to the most essential parts.\u00a0 Please remember to write in the correct Senator\u2019s name before the comma in the \u201cDear Senator ,\u201c salutation at the top of your message.<\/p>\n

On some Contact pages you need to complete a little test (called Capcha) \u201cto prove that you are not a robot\u201d; sometimes it suffices to click the box, sometimes you are taken to a simple task such as selecting a few pictures from among a dozen, as per instructions.\u00a0 That is necessary for your message to go through.<\/p>\n
